The short version. AppShot - Screenshot Maker collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no trackers, and no analytics. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.

Who we are

Fly to the Byte (“we”, “us”) develops and publishes AppShot - Screenshot Maker. This Privacy Policy explains what data AppShot - Screenshot Maker handles, why, and what choices you have. It applies to the app and to flytothebyte.com.

For the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation, Fly to the Byte is the data controller for the data described here. You can reach us at support@flytothebyte.com.

What we collect and why

Nothing. AppShot - Screenshot Maker does not collect, transmit, or store personal data. It contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash-reporting service that identifies you. We have no server that receives your data, so there is nothing for us to look at, share, or lose.

Where your data lives

The content you create in AppShot - Screenshot Maker and its settings are stored locally on your device. We have no copy of it and no server that receives it.

Third parties

AppShot - Screenshot Maker includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not share your data with anyone, because we do not have it.

Purchases and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes your payment details; we never see or store them. Apple tells us only whether a purchase is valid.

We may disclose data if we are legally required to do so by a valid legal process, or if it is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.

What we never do

  • We never sell or rent your personal data.
  • We never share your data with data brokers.
  • We do not track you across other apps or websites.
  • We do not build advertising or behavioural profiles about you.
  • The app shows no advertising.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act you also have the right to know what is collected and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

In practice there is nothing for us to give you or delete, because we hold no data about you. Deleting the app from your Mac does not remove the data it saved: to remove it, also delete the folder named after the app in ~/Library/Containers (in Finder, choose Go → Go to Folder…).

Children

AppShot - Screenshot Maker is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email us and we will delete it.

International transfers

No data leaves your device, so no international transfer takes place.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will note the change in the app’s release notes. The current version is always available at this URL.
